You prolly have to collect them in mats of 20 and turn them in to the local Warbringer at any capitol controlled by your faction.

Something smells fishy..

I think you fooled a couple of posters, but the pickups, the health and ammo crate are photoshopped in.

For all I know, so could the XP and health UI's.

Why isn't the DD in the background firing though, that's strange.

Of course they are!!!
I intentionally didn't put too much effort in the photoshop (Trust me I can do much better). This thread was to meant to be joke because I personally do not like this RPG-route the SH5 is taking...

The DD in the background is not firing because my navigator just used one of his abilities and casted "limited visibility bubble" spell on it.

But on the other hand, your job actually is realistic; something similar must be done under the hood. Hit points and morel (or experience points) etc. I don't understand why people are so vocal about laser guide. It's just about presentation - you can see or not. They're definitely hide-able for likes for sure, not a big deal at all. Crate, ah. Interesting tho..

ok ok ... ya got me ... with the current antipathy and rage on the 'board tho, maybe now isn't the best time to be posting such practical jokes? ... besides, it IS an option to have health-meters on enemy ships, no?
and, btw, it IS a rather decent photoshop job really ...

I'm sorry guys. I apologize to all deceived.
I thought when I stated in the post #1 "Silent Hunter 5: The Battle of Atlantic, RPG of the Year 2010." and that "I couldn't resist...." you would catch my drift...

Anyway, considering the road the SH5 is taking as of now I might be hitting pretty close to the mark....
