Hi, hoping someone can help. Running GWX 3.0 Gold, I find that as the periscope(s) meet the water interface, the actual view turns into a mass of coloured pixels. This only clears as the periscope is fully extended and is free of water (hope that makes sense!!). I just wonder if anybody else has had this problem and knows the solution to it.
Many thanks. |

(taking a guess)
You might have a problem with your graphics settings there...it's supposed to be a watery, washed out view as the lens is obscured by a sheet of water.

Thanks for prompt response. I understand it should be a watery view, it was never a problem in SHIII, this only started with GWX 3.0 Gold (!?). In desperation I have downloaded nHancer and tried all kinds of graphics settings and still no go. ( I have no problem with any other games nHancer is running, btw). Just wondered if anybody has this problem also?

Nvidia GeForce 7900GS (x2), as I say I have never had any problem before. Btw the "coloured pixels" look like a multi coloured patchwork quilt, lol!
Must sign off for this evening as is getting late in the UK, (as all Wolves know, it is now full moon....)!! |

you don't smoke before you play, do you??!! ![]() in earnest: - have you enabled any graphics mods? - what are your filter settings? (anti-aliasing and anisotropic)

Gave up smoking years ago, but the colours are pretty psychedelic!
Seriously, these are the settings enabled by nHancer: Anti-aliasing: 4x Multisampling Anisotopic filtering: Application I have tried messing about with various settings and graphic mods but no go... I was simply hoping that somebody else might have had the same problem and I could have solved it with an nVidia tweak or a small adjustment to tga files. But thank you anyway gentlemen for your kind help. |

hmm, I sure hope that someone will come up with a solution for you.
my nVidia 6600GT (yes I know: old and outdated) has AA-settings: 4x and AF: 8x and I haven't experienced any graphics-glitches so far. the point is how to narrow down these glitches to either the settings of your graphics-card or corrupted installation .... but how to proceed I don't know?!
