Dear Ubisoft,

At the time of this post, in an active poll in another thread, out of a total of 588 members here.......

356 voted to wait for no online DRM beforte purchasing the game
93 are not going to buy it at all
59 will cancel their pre-order
80 are fine with the DRM

I suspect that you'll find these numbers reflected in other forums accross the web. Are you really so arrogant as to ignore this reaction?

@ TDK : Maybe posting this at Ubi would be a bit more efficient (we're not sure GKane visits Subsim, after all).

Good thinking Alex.

Oh, and...

Because even though I'll probably buy the game either way, I do feel for those who have limited/unstable internet connections.

'The fall and rise and fall and rise and fall of the UBI Empire'. Getting tired of good news followed by bad. I think that DRM is bad news. Just want to play the bloody game!

For the love of god, just a disk-check, perhaps online activation (by e-mail or phone as alternatives). No permanent connections, no limited installs. Those 2 are the big no-nos.

...But with no realistic expectation that it will make a difference.
They probably expected this and I'm sure they had meetings with heated debates about the potential backlash. They've made their decision though and release date is almost here.

Glad I'm happy enough with SH3 and SH4 to not really be bothered by it.
