Fleet Command

I am looking at getting Silent Hunter III lately, but haven't made a decision yet. I actually have Jane's Fleet Command in my game library. Feeling a bit tired playing Battlefield 2 and other FPS games and don't have sufficient money to buy Guild War and Silent Hunter III. So I have been thinking reinstalling Jane's Fleet Command. I recall I used to have a good time with the game. I also recall there were numerous add-ons I put to the game at the time.

But now that I amusing Windows XP, does it run? Or I have to run on a Windows 98SE partition instead?
