Yeah, i think the wolf metaphore was grossly overused in this case, and not even applicable. I mean, yeah they used wolfpacks, but it it wasn't a centerpiece of strategy and most of the time US subs were lone hunters.

i think the atlantic and the med is where its at. IJN ASW just doesnt cut it.

only when theyve modelled all uboat types, italian and RN boats should they contemplate the pacific.

infact i'd prefer to see a new atlantic destroyer/escort command game than the PTO.

I didn't get into Silent Hunter until 4 so I'm glad to be seeing the Atlantic this time around.

Let's wait for the first "SH5 class action lawsuit" thread before asking for the PTO

With a prowen pointless US campaign at Pacific... it would only be chalenge in gameply of SH6: Rising sun ( or Imperial Volves) with increasingly demanding campaign 41-45...

But still... I would prefer SH6: Atlantic convoys wars with a new graphic engine!

Kriegsmarine rules!

Whats so pointless about a campaign that:

- actually achieved its purpose by cutting the enemy's supplies,
- did cost 52 submarines lost
- was deeply interwoven with a very dynamic and spectacular theater of operations

Thank-You sir. Now that sounds like a real and fun campaign. Thanks for the preview.

What preview?!

I'm talking about the REAL LIFE US submarine campaign against the empire of Japan... and its potential of being fun vs being pointless.

Common sense of PC game campaign is - to be more chalenging as you progress trough... not to rule the pacific by 1943... and to hunt careless Yamato or whatever you want... let alone 1944/45...

I sincerely respect your US PC market... but Kriegsmarine rules... No theatar could provide us with better feeling than Kriegsmarine / Atlantic / convoys... it is simply unique!
