You haven't seen any of the British Battleships either, but I bet they are in as well.
Why would they take out a working sea state included in the previous games, and just have light/medium waves? Considering you get to travel the whole atlantic, med and more, whole year around.
Trying to take that out of the code would be more harder than you think. So I'm confident there are rough seas.

The things they didn't include (subs other than VII, campaign after 1943) must be related to the new interior/crew system. They couldn't get the other sub interiors completed, and they couldn't get the new crew/gadgets to work with the new technology, in the detail they wanted to simulate. (Either from time constraints or future plans..)

IMHO some goodies are kept for suprise

Who cares whether there are no rough seas in any of the screenshots? Yes it would quell the speculation, but can any of the complainers show a statement from anybody official that would lead to that conclusion in the first place?

Of course there'll be rough seas...you'll just never see them because of the "good weather" bug (as opposed to SH3's "bad weather" bug).

But SH3 only modelled up to around Beaufort scale 7...hardly what could be called "rough"; more like medium. Hence why the fudge-around mods and tweaks designed to get rougher swells (ie SH3Cmdr's "Wave Height" setting). In other words, for there to be true rough seas in SH5, they actually need to soup up what they already had, otherwise we will end up with just "light/medium" waves again.

Maybe people need to ensure that they all have the same definition of "rough". If they think stock SH3 seas are "rough", then I doubt they'll be disappointed with SH5. However, if they think that seas are not rough until they hit Beaufort scale 9, then, well, that's yet to be seen.

I haven't seen any rough seas in any screen shots or video's, if someone knows of any please post a shot! You would think a picture of a u-boat crashing through the waves would be a great thing to show for sales!! Also with so much rumor going around why doesn't the devs or UBI simply post an answer, IMO would be good PR!

this one's the "roughest", I could find:

...at noon, the waves will look flatter than the image suggests they are.
