Uboats were not very well designed to deal with food and its consumption I guess.. (no dedicated place to store food, only 2 toilets and a crappy twin plated stove for cooking.) Its as if after they built them - they figured, hey these men need to eat! - oops didnt think of that Ordinance takes priority I guess.
