Even with the various patches it never got right. The only decent item it had was a calendar that gave you sunrise and sunset and phases of the moon for a particular date. Free would be too much to pay for the game. Stay away! ![]()

Pick SH3 and one of those fancy mega-mods and you're settled. Sure, there are a few things that we old-timers of SH2 miss in SH3, but those are not that big to warrant 10 bucks. The calendar as already stated, some nice maps (like AOTD) and a few game mechanics, like the pups and such. ![]() But all in all, not worth the 10 bucks! Save the money for something better! Cheers

SH2 was at its time the only option for a 3D submarines game, and the interaction with Destroyer Command had its appeal. But nowadays, for anyoone who never sweated and cried with it, and who has a PC that will run SH3, there is simply no comparison possible. Ignore SH2 and skip to SH3.
SH1 and Command Aces of the Deep are a different matter, though. If you value gameplay and ambient above graphics, you could still have some fun with either of them. Good luck. ![]()
