With neutral vessels, you could try hitting the engine room (if you're feeling really accurate ) to ensure no tanks for your enemy, but also no neutral ships sunk
If you leave the area and save or reload....they will respawn 100% all singing and dancing.

That is what the game engine is designed to do on loading....install the entire SH3 world.

So that means that if you find a battleship anchored somewhere, sink it, then leave the area, save and reload - it will be there again?
That way you can rack up some massive amounts of tonnage

That is a good one.

I had an interesting thing happen last night. In Oct 1939 I struck a ship with my last torpedo then I finished off with the deck gun. This was good so far. I then preceded on surface and towards home port. My watchmen calls out ship spotted. So I ran up the ladder to the desk to take a peek with the binoculars. Here my deck gun crew is firing at this ship. This ship (you guessed it) turned out to be a destroyer. So I crash dive and wait. The destroyer shows and starts pinging me and does their usual attack run and drops some depth charges. Wasn't even close to my location. Anyways the destroyers pings me and does another attack run. This time no depth charges are dropped. If I remember this destroyer only dropped depth charges once out of five attack runs. I thought this was odd, because their should be no way this destroyer run out of depth charges. This was a tribal destroyer that give up trying to find me and went on his merry way.

Usually I get the watch officer to call crew back to watch duty. This time I forget.

I am wondering if this has been modded into the game? Where a destroyer will find a sub and call for assistance and then harass the sub until another destroyer shows up.

I play with GWX 3.0 and MAGUI mods.
Love the game.
