Default Suicide... by knife?

Former Howard Stern side kick Artie Lange rushed to hospital after apparently self inflicted stab wounds.

My instincts tell me there is something amiss here.

Its entirely possible he was trying to commit suicide by stabbing himself. I bit different I must say, but if your determined I suppose you could do that.

I don't understand how someone could stab themselves, but people do some very strange things sometimes!

Stabbing suicides arent that uncommon that one might think.

The Japanese elevated it to almost an art form.

I suppose that with a good dose of alchohal, drugs, and psychosis you might convince yourself but one would think that after the first stab you would be having second thoughts.

I still think there is more to this story than what has been published.

But properly done, it certainly involves a lot of guts.

I had a relative who killed him self by drowning him self in a sink.
He just put his head in and sucked water into his lungs.

Give me a nice shotgun w/a hollowpointed slug (if that kind of ammo exists, which I suspect it does).

Of course, if you're suicidal, you're unlikely to be thinking things through logically.

The dictionary would though:

Quote:
stab (stb)v. stabbed, stab·bing, stabs
v.tr.1. To pierce or wound with or as if with a pointed weapon.
2. To plunge (a pointed weapon or instrument) into something.
3. To make a thrusting or poking motion at or into: stabbed the air with his fingers.

v.intr.1. To thrust with or as if with a pointed weapon: stabbed at the food with her fork.
2. To inflict a wound with or as if with a pointed weapon.

n.1. A thrust with a pointed weapon or instrument.
2. A wound inflicted with or as if with a pointed weapon.
Pretty much covers the main part though the assistant waiting to slice off the head is definitely an enhancement...

Thanks, but it was a number of years before I was born.
It does show you want strange feats the mad can achieve.

I had a relative many years before i was born who went out to the farm house. grabbed an axe. laid his head down on a tree stump and attempted to cut off his own head.

he partially succeeded before other relatives stopped him.

he had lost his mind.

he recovered from serious injuries as far as im aware.

Years ago when we were in Phoenix visiting relatives, there was a story on the local news about a guy who walked into some store with a chainsaw and threatened to cut his own head off with it.

He succeeded, more or less.

I can't even imagine being that determined to make a point.

I still remember the Darwin Award for that guy who was found by police inside the locked-from-inside property of his parents, stabbed to death with a knife. There were no signs of violance or intruders, and it was a mystery who killed him and how he came in and got out with the doors and windows all, locked from inside.

They found out that the guy had been given a knife-proof jacket as a present, and when the other family members had left the house, he took it on and got a knife and tested how much protection the jacket would give him.

He found out that it was not sufficient.

This is one of the most idiotic, hilarious real life stories I have ever heared of in all my life.
