About a month or two before Silent Hunter 3 was released, Ubi had put some instructional videos up on the official web site on navigation, attacks, AAA use etc.

The videos were pretty detailed, and very close to what was in the game upon release.

Any ideas as to when we might expect to see that or something similar for SH5?

It would be nice to see some short 30 - 60 second demo videos of various aspects of the game.

perhaps a 30 second demo video of each of these:

FPS in port
FPS in the boat
a torpedo attack
a deck gun attack

@ GR Believe it or not on the other new trailer thread I was going to post something simular.

I wouldn't be surprised if after Xmas we see alot more from Ubi about SHV.

Yes. In theory we are closing into within 2.5 months of release and the official site has NOTHING other than a trailer and a forum link.

I would expect that from a game that is within about a year of release, or a game that had only just been announced days ago. but not something that is within the last 60ish days of development

Maybe it won't be out in 60 days......

the last impression i got from ubi forums was it looks like they want to use facebook or something like it for all future info so they dont have to answer questions about anything.

they dont even put info up on their own forum so people from ubi forums come here to find stuff out

not sure what the heck is going on with ubi lately

I wasn't to thrilled with the way they marketed SH4.

We have been told "March 2010"

That puts the release date as early as March 1st (though probably not that early)

March 1 is 66 Days away

Potentially we are looking at the game hitting shelves anywhere from 66 to 96 days from today.

Im not complaining by any means.

I Just remember a lot more aggressive and less cryptic marketing for previous releases thats all.

over at newegg its listed as march 3, 2010 ship date so.... looks like first week of march
