Because they are clearly stealing all our snow...

I'll check if I have any decent snow pictures from Poland (Yeah, I know, that's cheating), I got caught in a really nice snowstorm in Łódź.

Ok, Raptor...stop it with that damn weather control device of yours! Had a flash of lightning and a clap of thunder about an hour ago, it's sleeting/snowing, blowing a gale and the lights are flickering...

Business as usual for the East Anglian coastal winter

If I was in control of the weather control device, the first place to get some decent weather is right here...

After seeing all the pics I'm going to have to take my Hummer for a run up to Big Bear.

I love living in a area where I can go surfing in the morning and snowboarding the same afternoon.

It's supposed to snow here tomorrow into Saturday. If it looks sufficient, I'll take some snaps of my house and post them, provided they don't look too meager next to you Scandanavians and your real winter.

I don't mind a bit of snow... it being rare I usually enjoy it,

But today I wanted to visit Amsterdam to see an Opera for the first time, and the hell-damned trains stopped running altogether for oh, I don't know, 5 cm of snow.... this happens every time the first snow falls...

It's ridiculous, I spent 3 hours to traval 30km by train... just barely made it in time and had to miss out on the dinner arrangement because of this...
Hell I hear that In places like Norway the trains only get slowed down if there's 2 meters of snow....

And tomorrow I'm going to have to go to work by train, joy of joys... not that that's a big issue, I'd rather miss work than an opera I paid good money to see..

thankfully I did enjoy the opera and maybe, if the snow lasts until the weekend I might appreciate it as well.

sorry to snow on your parade, just had to get that off my chest....

Sorry to hear about the setback, but yeah, leave it to the Dutch railways to panic when there's a snowflake or leaf on the tracks.

I must say all this seems a bit weird to me.

I mean in my city, lot of people (me included) are sick and tired of snow/winter and you guys seem to beg for it...

The only cool thing is that we have a white Christmas.

Once Christmas time is over I want summer back... but have to wait at least 3 more months!

I would swap anytime some sunshine for these... (taken in march 2008)

If we got that much snow, I'd be sick of it too.

But around here it's fairly rare; a little might fall every winter, but it rarely remains for a week or more. Usually it's all slush by the end of the day.
