No...just a solid black screen.

OK, roundabout fix: I downloaded Xfire and its screenshot ability actually works.

Ah, the reason I have an evaluation copy of Win 7 running safely inside a VirtualBox. Now you've given me something to test.

Looks like XP might live through yet another generation of Windows!

Perhaps I'll think about adding a feature to more easily grab the SH screen captures (is it Ctrl-F11?) if Win7 is gonna be retarded...

I have a similier problem but different. Where is Windows 7 putting the in-game pics I take? As in Windows XP it says it is saving them in Ubisoft/SH4, but I have been all through the filels in that directory, i.e. all the folders in SH4 root. They are not there. I have also searched Documents/SH4.

Anyone know where they are? Thanks.

I had the same problem. I found them by doing a search of the C drive in Windows Explorer searching for sh3img.

They are in c: users>etc etc....

I can't seem to get to them directly!

Hope this helps!!

Cheers

When you say Sh3img what exactly are you saying? Do you mean Sh4img? Do you mean SH4.img, or what?

Thanks.

You could be right on that!!! Vista is a mess, editor is lousy, but to add something on is good. Had to use download to find what I want in SH4, then copy where it’s at, then go to editor or use 7-zip editor which can be a pain. Still having problems getting into .ddl files, but that’s because I’m learning Silent 3ditor(v0.9.9). Also like your smiley face, did you do that, can you send me a copy of it or tell me where I can find it?

If you got a solid black screen then maybe *maybe* the Ctrl-Alt-PrtScr would work if you run SH in windowed mode as I suggested above?

Would prefer a solution that doesn't require installing new apps (like Xfire) but glad you got something working.

While I think the Solution Solver and the TDC are both pretty cool, the MoBo is downright amazing. What a great piece of work!!! I still have the tutorial on my desk, and I downloaded it about a year ago! (not quite a cool as the shed snake skin I found in my back yard yesterday. It pointed tail indicates it is a gopher snake and not a rattlesnake, as the wildlife center advised today [whew!]. I had to get that in here somewhere.)

Default How to Use Print Screen with Windows 7

Hi guys. I spent a lot of time trying to get this to work so I thought I would share it with anyone else having trouble importing SH3 screenshots to MoBo. You basically need to disable Desktop Composition for the SH3 application. Follow the instructions in this link and it works perfectly.

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/easily-disable-vistas-aero-before-running-an-application-such-as-a-video-game/

Note: For Steam users, you need to go to the application file itself at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Silent Hunter 3 (or similar) and make the change. Simply doing it for the Steam application doesn't work.
