Best free antivirus?

useing the free Mcafee thingy that comes from my ISP, and avira, done good sofar...

I'm actually using Microsoft Security Essentials at the moment.

And it seems to work fine!

I used to use AVG but it needs its own dedicated CPU core.

When i tried MSE I get wicked slowdowns. Did a big clean up of main pc like i do once a year - reformat and reinstall XP/Vista dual setup. Decided to try MSE on a clean system but still get the same results. Gets that bad that I can't move the mouse at times. So im just running the free version of Avira atm
