As stated there, using them in the Atlantic would've been suicide. Type IX benefited from them more because of the theaters in which they were used. But Ubi already said that the game would only support the Atlantic theater so I guess there's no point in having the Fa 330 in the game. Plus, I doubt they were used often because it put the pilot in a ton of danger. Maybe only as punishment for bad cooking

Yeah, the Fa-330 saw some limited use in the South Atlantic and Indian Ocean, but it was for the most part just an interesting footnote in the U-Boat campaign. If the developers included this, you'd have people clamoring next for the more exotic stuff like the rocket launchers and undersea missile system the Germans were experimenting as well. They gotta draw the line somewhere, and keep a focus on the major aspects of the U-Boat.

Well 6 Type IIB's did have rockets, so it's only a matter of time until someone starts a thread howling for all Type II's to have rockets, you know, as what happened in reality and all.

Wait, maybe not, were there rockets in Das Boot?

I loved Das boot and all, but it was shot using RC Subs & boats, and some rather lousy pyrotechnics (even for 80s TV standards)
Id imagine that SH5 will actually be more visually accurrate in some respects

Thats what I like about Das Boot, among other things. 80's films just have a sort of look to them, and Das Boot has it. Now if they would remaster it like the Star Wars Trilogy!
