DX11 is too early (especially for a game this far in development), DX10 is too vista-only. Maybe a bit of optional DX10 additionnal eye-candies, though mainly Dx9. It shows off in the screenshots anyway, even if the game is not finished, it should be too late now for the 3d engine to be way more detailed than what we saw. Couldn't be that much different I guess. And everything we saw doesn't even reach the limits of Dx9, so it should be way enough.
Now "eye-candy" aside, To get the optimization for better FPS one could get with dx10 (or later on dx11) over Dx9, a game would probably best be developed primarily for dx10, and that's never gonna happen because of Vista failing to replace XP (and with win7 coming out and its dx11) |
