Another link to the German (sorry) version:

http://www.php.isn.ethz.ch/collectio...n&id=17214&nav

It doesn't look like there is translation as of yet.

But good find, none the less, SB.

I thought the GDR's plan for WWIII was to fire off one round and then watch the big flash.

No. Like today the plan was for the US to do all the heavy lifting. Then criticize after the fact. Some things never change.

Ya sure..

Educate yourself, please, what the GDR means.

It would probably call for the USSR to do the heavy lifting.

Third possibility (speaking with Tom Clancy): Leave the heavy lifting to West Germany's Landwehr ³

I don't think the GDR's WWIII plan was to allow the US to do the heavy lifting. Perhaps that was the FRD's plan but not the GDR's.

In the cold war:

FRD = good guys
GDR = bad guys

FRG, I believe

Funny, I know very few people who use GDR, the usual abbreviation I and most people I know use is DDR...

With a name like Castle Bravo, surely you should know who the GDR were?

No, not my merits, I just read about it in the original thread over there. Somebody else found it, the author of that thread.

If it's not too long, I could do a translation. I'm not registered, so I couldn't have a look at it.
