Edit: Was it Obst. Josef "Pips" Priller ? Second choice would be maybe Heinz Bär.

The Luftwaffe only counted AERIAL victories, not sitting ducks on the ground.
Yes, It was Pip Priller, but we're awaiting the count. Meanwhile... 'NOTHER QUESTION: Operation Mincemeat was a precursor to Operation Husky, but occurred nowhere near Operation Husky's planned objective. What were BOTH operations all about? |
