We have more in common than I would've guessed (except for living in the UK, for which I envy you greatly). I've been tech support for almost 300 people at an advertising agency for about a year. Dusting off pc's wasn't exactly a fullfilment of my artistic nature

so I quit and started learning 3d Graphics. But then... World of Warcraft came and the months (or years?!) started to slip by me

Now I'm glad I didn't take the graphics carrer. With what I know now I would've been amazing 5-6 years ago, but now... well, it's still a hobby, but I took to the sea

. The soup is amazing, no Bernard in sight, decent internet connection, bigger room, great coffee, Amsterdam on each voyage, happy (and rested) girlfriend when I get home, the list goes on. And since the price of transporting crude oil went up (and will continue to do so) my paycheck almost doubled. Now if only I could finish this bloody officer course so I can go back there... I miss those late night shifts when I'm alone on the bridge
