Default Sailing the best German subs in 1939-40?

Is it possible to sail the best German subs early in the war? I am trying to play some "what if" careers. I would like to have the technology add-ons available as well. I have tried editing the sh3.cfg file without success. I am running GWX3.0 (Awesome) and SH3 Commander 3.2 (Also way cool). Any help advice on this (point me to a FAQ, link, etc) would be great. Thanks and happy sailing. I'll be down in the bilge room awaiting a reply....

Search in the download section for the file "XXI 1939 SH3" it's ready for JGSM use and you carry homing torpedos since 1939

Just edit your personnel file to say, "Ships sunk: All."

I still haven't experienced the XXI since 2005 :O

I'm saving it as my reward for surviving until '44 in a DiD career.

4 years and counting :P One day eh.

Default no go

I tried to use it with the JSGME and I started a new career but as someone posted, the sub image did not look right in the base screen. I ended up doing a complete re-install and things are good now. I will just wait until it becomes available like everyone else. Thanks again. Seemed to me to be more trouble than it was worth. Years ago, I edited the .cfg files and got it to work. Don't remember what I did, oh well.
Time to stop yapping, I have to get back to the bilge pump....

Some guys have complained that the sub did not look right so I've re-uploaded the version of the mod that I use on my own system just in case there were any problems with the files.

Hopefully the 'wrong looking sub' problem will be solved - I'm sure you'll let me know!
