The first ever would propably be something on Commodore 64, can only remember one game we had... not it's name tho. IIRC it you flew the SR-71 Blackbird in it.

Anywho, I was pretty young back then, so I'd have to go with SWOTL & B17 as the first flightsims I played and actually knew what the hell I was doing.

Blue Max, Dam Buster and my favourite Ace of Aces. All on the C64. I don't recall which was the first one I played.
On the PC I went on with Microprose Dogfights, the original CFS and then Il2 with which I've stuck till this day.

Oh man, how could I forget Ace of Aces.

The C64 and Amiga were great machines, great music and sound effects for it's time!

I also forgot to mention Wings, the WW1 combat flight sim.

@ Ace video

My god what a lousy pilot.
Too bad he didn't show the other features of Ace of Aces like bombing or that you could look left and right and do some engine management (yes, you could over rev the engines...if you were completely stupid...).

Secret Weapons over Normandy was my first flight game on Xbox. I'm not sure that it counted.

Also, Ace Combat series are my favorite.

Flight Path 737 on my cousin's Amstrad CPC, also another game where you were flying a BAE Hawk, can't remember the title.
On PC my first was SWOTL as well, ah and Wings of Fury but that's not really a sim.

Chuck Yeagers Advanced Flight Simulator?

If so, I think that was my first Flight Sim too, unless you count Wings of Fury

Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe was the first one that I knew what I was doing in... remember Chuck Yeager's and Falcon 2.0...

Strike Commander came out in '92...

I still have most of SWoTL, just opened the box and found Wolfpack in there as well! though I can't find the Decoder Disc for SWoTL
