Was the destroyer depth charging the area? Could it be that the corvette got caught in the blast and took it as a hostile act?
By jove, that destroyer just spilt my tea with that DC!! ACTION STATIONS!!!! Show those boys they should never spill an englishman's cup of tea. Boom!! Crack!! Yakayaka!! She's going down sir!!! Good job lads, now fetch me some more earl grey old chap.
