First it assumes globalization of the economy is inevitable, furthermore who would answer in the affirmative for trans-national coporations?

It doesn't assume because it uses the word "if".

That aside, I have had discussions with people who think that corporations
shouldn't be forced to compromise their own interests to benefit any other
interests.

It's an extreme position to take, but not one no one takes.

The compass requires questions about extreme positions in order to find
if you should be given an extreme score on the compass.
