i know they are used still but as TLAM said there have been many accidents
on average the chinease loose one submarine per year due to well anything lack of maintanance etc even russia hasnt got that high a loss rate  casualties include a xia SSBN as well as numerous mings and romeo's surprised her whole fleet hasnt sunk
