AFAIK, I have 1.4b and I'm not gonna sweat over this issue anymore based on some other posts I've read in the last few hours.
Basically the Encore DVD SH2/SH3 combo version of the game from Newegg doesnt require a patch, and I'm gonna install GWX now and start trying to beat the tutorials  Thanks for all the input, everyone. Quote:
