Anyway, Somewhere on the East Coast of Canada is a place where they are testing 100 Mbit. I'll like one of those guys to do the test, but good luck finding one of those people on the board. I think they are rare.

It depends on where you live, like it is in the US. Friends of mine, living in Germany near the borders to Netherlands report around the same speed on DSL as we got on cable. My parents DL/UL speed is downscaled because ,as the ISP told them, the cabling inside their house can't handle even the minimal 8.000 DSL that is available where they live.
