The honours appear even after the first days play. England electing to bat and scoring 307 for 8. Interesting to see if the Aussies can bowl them out early and get a good total for a lead in the 1st innings.

Todays play may decide the series.

If England fail to bowl your lot out thereby gaining a first innings lead, the result at best will be a draw.

I fear that is what will happen....a drawn game and the retention of the Ashes by the current holders.

Not that you ever get to actually keep them
