saw something similar at an air show once, i think the best thing i saw was a lynx fly upside down though.

That's not an overly dangerous stunt as long as the front wheel doesn't get snagged on something. The rotor blades were also well away from the ground (by at least 4-6 feet).

German helicopter at work (well I it's owned by the Austrian Red Bull company). I was lucky enough to see the guy perform live at the ILA last year.
The video starts to get interesting at about 1:35.

I wasn't really that impressed.

I find helicopter inverts much more impressive.

It was upside down and in the air.
If you mean sustained inverted fligh, no full size helicopter can do that.
