Default not what I was looking for

I am very familiar with the Easy AoB mod, having been on that mod since its exception. However, the post just above mine suggests an alternative, and I am unsure if the thread it refers to is an alternative.

My mistake. EasyAOB is the popular mod that got upgraded with speed and bearing dials doing pretty much the same thing that EasyAOB did with AOB. The official name of the mod variant I'm using is "TGT DIALS TO PK FIX - RFB" (that's the directory name).

Download link is: http://www.archrow.net/misc/TGT%20DI...20PK%20FIX.rar
Forum thread: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=152945

I'm using the RFB variant because I'm running RFB/RSRD on 1.5.

I'm Goin' Down,

Post #38 at the link I provided will show the simplified directions. It is easy to do and you'll be able to set the dial to any distance.

Default Captain Dave

Thanks, Captain Dave. Much appreciated.

FYI. I am up to speed on the Easy AoB mod, as I played a significant role and getting Nicolas (who unveiled the Easy AoB data changes) and ddgrn to cooperate on to produce the JGSME versions of the Easy AoB mods which, in my opinion, qualify as the mod of the year.

Default it checks out!

I made the changes to the cfg file that Captain Dave recommended. It checks out, as I tested it after leaving Midway. Now I have the Easy AoB mod with speed, AoB and range (which I believe is better described as the aspect ratio/range) combined, plus the range which can be manually adjusted as recommended by Captain Dave. This is an excellent combination as the one great weakness of the Easy AoB mod is obtaining the range/aspect ratio when it is dark, as it is sometimes impossible to line up the shadow ship with the target. Now you can skip that step and and manually input range from radar readings in a night time attack, which I am looking forward to taking a shot at (no pun intended).

Someone might want to make this a mod which can be enabled by JGSME....

I believe it's already part of Webster's mod.
