The Panthers are who I pull for - as a Carolinian how can I do less?
Though our recent D-line injury leaves a gaping hole right where we had NO depth. Go figure. At least its early enough for us to pick off a salary cap casualty as the camps and preseason continue. Though what we will pay em with remains to be seen. However - it is a D-lineman..... wonder if we can just get a player for all the concessions he can eat on gameday? :rotfl: Our record depends on how many times our crappy qb forgets what color his team wears again - or if he is injured (though I would never wish a serious injury on anyone - season ending but fully able to be recovered from isn't beyond my dreams) - or if he just finally admits he is color blind. Matt Moore is the future - and the future should start now. Ok - enough with the Panthers rant. Playoff teams - I see much of the same from last year - though I honestly expect cleveland to show better. Detroit will win 3. Denver - they are going to struggle - if they get 6 in the win column I will be suprised. The locker room just isn't buying what the head coach is selling, and its not like they have a threat at QB now..... The Steelers will not repeat. Some guy with either the last name of Brady or Manning will make sure of that. Speaking of Brady - he will NOT be the same guy as he used to be - but he will have a solid year and use that to rebound further next season. The Colts are going to struggle defensively more than usual. Dungy was the head coach and also did alot with the defensive side of the ball. Offensively they will be a threat as long as Manning has his free hand - and with the OC moving to HC - he will continue that. However, expect them to early out in the playoffs. Jacksonville - Del Rio is on the hot seat this year - the defense will return to form, but I still see the offensive having its struggles. Tennessee - Watch for the running back duo to show much less than they did last year - they have very one good running back and a fat guy with a big mouth who had some luck last year. The O-line will be harder pressed to protect Collins this year (assuming he starts) - and the D lost their biggest run stopper. Expect them to have more struggles than last year. Giants - Coughlin will have the G-men ready - expect em to play tough almost all year. Their season depends on Eli continuing to show the maturity he has the last couple of years. Jets - Rebuilding with a new HC, QB and a fair amount of other turnover. Raiders - Al Davis is still alive - right? If any team takes a flyer on Vick - it will be Al. He is all about the "athletics", and dementia often shoots itself in the foot. If Vick does go here - then expect him back in jail and permanently banned from the NFL within 2 years. The club doesn't have the front office to keep him straight. I honestly hope if he gets an offer he has the mindset to turn it down - for his own sake. If ya'll want - we should all post the divisions as we see em finishing. Be interesting to see who gets closest.
