Thanks for the quick reply. Yes~!, Yes I am using SH3 Commander, sorry I didn't make that clear. 2.5 yr old woke me up early and then I jumped on here before I hit the high seas.
![]() I'm still confused on the medals. Is it up to me when and who gets them?? And...........how will I know this and why not give them all out in the beginning like I posted early??? Maybe I am having a brain fart here. ![]() Ok clear on the renown, just double checking. TY ![]() Not sure what type of U boat I selected for the 1st flotilia, probably whatever you start out in. So if that is the case then you can never get a deck gun, correct? ![]() Ship sinking times: So if I hang around for 1-2 days, that ship could still sink and hence I would get my renown, which seems like gold to me right now. lol And how does storm damage play into this scenario? ![]() Using GWX and Commander, any tips on sinking a zig zagging ship. ![]() |

Ships sink when they are good and ready to do so. Yes, they will sink faster in bad weather and heavy seas. To hit a zig zagging ship: the closer, the better. Plan to fire just as the vessel starts to turn towards your sub. Use the fastest setting possible on your torpedo. Hope it is not a dud.

You do not have to give the medals out if you think it unrealistic....SH3 Commander allows you total control (including awarding medals the game has not yet awarded you)....the chice/decision is yours.
Start another career in 1st Flotilla and choose the VIIB, go to the upgrade/equipment screen and select the 88mm. Ships don't always sink, it is dependant on the amount of damage they incur.....just as in RL, many ships limped back to port despite severe damage. Weather can add damage to a ship as can fire. Firing at ships that zig zag is a knack you will master as you become more proficient at playing the game. If you study the ships movements carefully you will soon see a mean course in your minds eye and be able to predict when the ship is headed more or less toward you....the best firing solution. Hey guys, thanks. I think I am on board now. I did a little searching about the medal thing since it seems to have a great impact on the crew not getting fatigued. And I don't like to cheat, I wish I was good enough to play on 100% but I run it at 57%.
Looks like you should let the Game and not SH3 Commander decide who gets what and when. Is this correct??? Any other Commander things I should avoid using? (running GWX which is the s##t). Thanks for the tips on deck gun and zig zag. I actually hit a zig zigger (1 out of 5) and it bounced off. ARGGG I was wondering if since I was close at the time should I have used IMPACT instead of Magnetic??? |
