Christ on a bicycle, you people are wacky. Go to any mall in America and count the number of kids you see with peace sign necklaces or bracelets or shirts, etc.
Problem is, she is in Rome.

I fail to see the relevance of that.

at the G8 summit you know that whole disarmament / global warming / global economy thing?

So yea it has some relevance. Personally I find it was a poor choice and more than likely not some T shirt chosen at random with no consideration of its 'message'.

I had two cups of coffee this morning, but the butter was out. Usually it is just one coffee for me. I forgot to sweeten the second while being in the kitchen, so after I returned to the living room, I had to go back to the kitchen for the sweeter. After reading this important news, I was so shocked that I ran into the kitchen again and brewed my third coffee of this day, can you believe it. I took the sweeter in the left hand and the coffee in the right, and then spend two pills into the cup. I think usually the pills dissolves faster than today, but maybe that is just me.

What is your experience with sweeter pills dissolving in hot coffee? I personally prefer them to dissolve fast. But not too fast. It depends, you know.

Still an American kid wearing typical American kid's clothes. Even if you want to go down the rabbit hole of insane right wing mental gymnastics and say it was a political message...well, so what? Wishing for peace is a pretty noble ideal. It's not like she's out there with a swastika on or singing "bomb bomb bomb Iran"

Yea... shes not doing anything rong... like mookie said, its a peace sign, not something supporting violence.

Testy testy! Sometimes wearing typical American cloths abroad with signs melted into the fabric is not always the best idea. No matter what the sign is. Again, whether they like it or not, the entire family are embassadors of the US. BTW, your swastika reference is just silly.

Before anyone goes down the insane left wing mental gymnast route perhaps just seeing everything as OK is not the best view to take abroad. BTW, the peace sign is a political message. Ever see protesters here in the states during he 60's and 70's? You know, free love and drugs.

And you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who disagreed with that message. It's even a stated goal of the UN. Count how many times the word "peace" is mentioned in Article 1 of the UN Charter:

Quote:
CHAPTER I: PURPOSES AND PRINCIPLES

Article 1

The Purposes of the United Nations are:

  1. To maintain international peace and security, and to that end: to take effective collective measures for the prevention and removal of threats to the peace, and for the suppression of acts of aggression or other breaches of the peace, and to bring about by peaceful means, and in conformity with the principles of justice and international law, adjustment or settlement of international disputes or situations which might lead to a breach of the peace;
So it's not a very controversial message. I think the OP is making a mountain out of a molehill. Or a grain of sand in a molehill.

Or, just don't make your children part of your political brand. Both could learn from this.

Btw, I use German sweeteners for my coffee. I got them from Lidl.
