Where's the CD Key?

I haven't played SH3 for years so I put in the disc, loaded it up and when promted for the CD Key I couldn't find it (yes, it's a legal retail game I bought at Best Buy years ago). I have the box, manual, map and quick reference guide but the only thing that looks like a cd key is the 6 digit number label on the inside of the box affixed above the cd disc but I get an 'error' message when I enter that number. The cd key for my SH4 is located on the back of the manual and it's the normal 19 digit code beggining with SH4. I dont remember if the SH3 code was similar or was there a problem with Starforce (or whatever it was) security that gave folks problems with installing the game.

Anyhow, where are the cd key numbers located? Thanks

I have an old DVD version of SH3 and the install key is a sticker located inside the plastic case right above where the DVD is held.
