First benchmark
Figured I'd see what 3DMark 2006 says about this box and 16526 is a pretty decent score. It's not the best I have seen, but it is definitely up there:
Specs on that is AMD Phenom II X4 955 CPU, DDR3 1333 RAM (7-7-7-20), ATI 4870 1GB. -S |

Free, unless you want to change options. Not worth buying IMHO, unless you have a compulsive need to have the highest score and think everyone should know about it. IMHO all you need to know is if the card does the job for you.

Task Force - Anything in the 5 digit range will play anything out there no problem, and will still play anything out there for the near future. You should feel good that you are in the 5 digit range.
-S PS. He is probably overclocking more than you. I should overclock and see what happens. My CPU was at stock speeds when I took the above scores. |

If you're happy with the card than that's all that matters. I have a theory too: if you buy the program, they make money. If you don't buy the program you need to check your score online, ending up on a page with lots of "BUY IT" links. I have a suspicion they make money if you follow one of those links. In short: ignore the d**n scores as they're only there to make you feel bad and get you to spend more money. * only CPU is OCd over here, card is at Gigabyte stock (700/1700/1000). The difference in the cards comes from the fact the GTS 512 has the same core that went into the 9xxx series (G92 instead of G80).
