Default Need some help

Okay, first of all, disregard your prejudices about what I like, if you have any

Anyway, here's the problem. There's a comic con in the South East of the UK soon, and I'm looking to take the train down to attend. I'm trying to create a Spock costume (TOS, not the new one) but cant find any reasonably priced props.

So, if any of you are into model making, collecting things, or memorabilia, would you mind keeping your eyes out for a science tricorder, a classic phaser, and a classic communicator? If you find anything, PM me with a contact number, or request mine so I can call you for a chat.

The trouble is, I'm useless with electronics, so I cant make one myself, and I dont have the money to buy them all from the official Star Trek store, so I thought perhaps a comic shop or toy store over there might have one that I could buy via paypal and have shipped here for a reasonable price.

Here are a couple of pics:

Tricorder:

Phaser:

Communicator:

I know its a long shot, but worth a go

Thanks in advance

Stick your head in a rice grinder. That should give you the correct Spock look.

Get a light sabre and some robes and tell them you're attending as Obi-Wan-Vulcani.

Love the T-shirt, ironically I'm watching 'The Chase' at the moment

I know what you mean about props, they are not cheap, I've never gotten my hands on any of them or come close. Although I did make a TNG mark II phaser at middle school once, years and years ago.

Good luck in your endeavour, and while you're in the South-East, make sure you check out Forbidden Planet in London, it's on Shaftesbury Ave, and you can get there from Tottenham Court Road tube station

Like I said, good luck, or as I prefer, Jolan Tru.

@ Jimbuna: Regarding that second picture, in his own novelization of the first movie, Gene Roddenberry had Admiral Kirk give some personal notes, including a comment on speculation that he and Spock were indeed an 'item'. He said that the part that offended him most was the suggestion that he, James T. Kirk, would ever have a relationship with a being who only came into heat once every seven years!

Really!

I'm suprised Kirk would feel the need to love anyone other than his own ego

@KP....I've found a site (you've probably already seen it) that sells at least some of the props your looking for but they cost and I'm unaware of how far your budget will stretch....perhaps as far as your ears

It doesn't look like Spock will need to use his Vulcan death grip.

Quick James....tell him it's a funnel and not a tunnel. I reckon he's mistaken it for a black hole
