i had my rudders and one propellor blown off inside the firth of forth (in type II) while facing in towards Edinburgh. I had to reverse all the way to Denmark, using only up and down to perform evasions!

Damn CastleBravo, did you fired nukes at them??
![]() There was this one time I got caught in an air raid, two planes, and decided to fight them. Shot down one and damaged the other. As soon as I started cheering the victory over the RAF another squadron was spotted. It was six bombers. Now that was a text book case of feeling like an idiot |

Thinking I was smarter than two Corvettes and "teasing" them by going flank speed at 160m and diving deeper.
They had the last laugh... |

Fall of 1942 and I was heading home at the end of a patrol only having 6 torpedoes left. Came upon a convoy out in the North Atlantic at 0200 in stormy weather. Got to within 800 m of the first row and fired off all 4 of my front tubes at 4 separate ships-- 2 Liberty Cargo and 2 C2 cargo.. dived down to 100m and got messages for 4 hits. Waited about an hour for the DDs to clear, at which time I surfaced..
One C2 sunk, one ablaze moving at 0-1 knots, and both Liberties dead in the water. Now the problem was I only had 2 fish left and after waiting a few hours none of these ships showed any signs of sinking. I fired my last fore torpedo into a liberty and it blew up, and fired my aft torpedo into the C2 which just made another fire on its foredeck. Now I was stuck with a Liberty and a C2 with no fish left, and unable to use my deck guns because of the waves. I waited out there for an entire week (game time) for the weather to settle down, and it never did. Frustrated and impatient I saved my game and rammed the remaining Liberty ship. Took her down before I sank from flooding a few seconds later! I would love the option of using my deck gun in seas that aren't too stormy! |

Remember something similar when returning home from patrol with 1 eel left in the for tube I came across a Passenger Cargo alone,
Put the fish into her but she wouldn't go down, rammed her, she wouldn't go down, Jumped onto her deck, and tried to submerge, she wouldn't go down ended up giving up in disgust |

GWX2.1 100% realism, 1941.
Go through Suez Canal in a IXB, sunk 3 destroyers in Great Bitter Lake. And then come back a few months later. ![]() |

Does this count:
I had a convoy of King George V and Nelson on a gyroangle of 000. King George V was coming dead on towards me, I was at PD engines off, and hadn't been spotted. He got to 1500m and I shot off two torps, one impact, one magnetic. This apeth decided to hit crash dive and then realised my engines would go to flank speed. I was detected, King George V turned starboard rapidly, both torps missed ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
