I disagree. Its because of the fans games and movies exist. With out us there is not future for these items.

Some companies choose to listen while other don't give a rats behind about there fan base.

Many ideas from fans can help the writers build on a cool story. Editors then can tweak the story better so there isn't soo much techno babble.

Also you have modders who make games better. Us fan "modders" want to improve on the basic core game. If your statement was valid what would SH3 be like now? Can you imaging playing with out the mega mods?
