Starter pack - what essential starter mods do you recommend with GWX 3.0 Gold?

I almost forgot,

I hate to be picky here,but I noticed the diesels in GWX Gold default sound a bit odd/quiet,is this normal?.I like to think there would be more mechanical influence,the sound of the pistons working etc.Same with the electrics,I like the quiet hum of the engines this time,yet,they sound a little strange,but that is probably me because I dont know what real UBoat electrics sounded like

Am I right in thinking Thomsen's sounds recognize and correct this?.
