I've seen that problem mentioned in the LRT readme but you're not using LRT, so I don't know. I do know the workaround: left click on the "destroyed" compartment, then right-click on men to move them into it.

I'd rather have a free bottle in front of me...
I've experienced a problem similar to the one you describe. Try moving your people by clicking rather than dragging. I don't have my game in front of me to check, but I seem to recall you left click on the name of the compartment, then right click on the crew you want to move to that compartment.

I've had that before where you can't put an officer in the rest compartment but ordinary crew you can. Came up as destroyed for me too, so I just had to send him to sleep it off in the unused engine compartments.
He wasn't happy, and all that spilt engine oil ruined his brand new loafers.... ![]()
