This is likely the case as it only has the stock amount of ammo for the 5's.

I'm not sure why it would do this unless it is still running out of ammo. Is it just the 5's or are the 16's doing it to.

Howdy,
Tried the Montana last night in the Midway mission, all was fine until one shot from a Fuso BB totally destroyed my Forward Torpedo bulkhead and flooded the compartment. I did stay afloat though ![]() I also had DD's taking out the radar and periscopes in the damage control screen. But the bombing run the japs sent to me consisted of about 30 aircraft. I had about 10 bombs hit my Montana but to no affect at all Thanks Wolf edit: although i never did run outta ammo, I could no longer man the 16incher at a depth of 55ft. (before any damage was at 40-44ft)

The Montana is by far the most fun i've had in Sh4 for a very long time. The ONLY request I have is give us, the captains, some way of turning off that damn emergency siren! I can't turn the blasted thing off, and have to turn my sound OFF after about 10minutes of planning in the map room before I get a migrain
![]() Or, am I just missing something very simple in turning it off ![]() [Edit]: I was also wondering where I could see what specific 5' guns you're using for the secondary weapons & what AA guns are being used? I ask because I'd like to increase the stock ammo of all these guns as early on they run out of ammo fairly quickly due to inexperienced crewmembers sucking @ aim hehe. I'd also like to ask if there's a way to increase the stock distance my guns start shooting at with the crew using them? The montana had/has a massive range for her main guns, as well as her secondaries on the side, but they only seem to want to fire when enemy ships are within 4000meters. I'd like them to let me order them to fire @ targets nearly 10km away, is this because the game has a default view distance of 4-5kish viewdistance? If this is affecting the AI, how can I increase the default view distance (since I'm running at around 92FPs with MAXMAXMAX settings & 16x AA + 16Q AF graphics settings on my video card)? Otherwise, much props to the ship...best one I've found yet that works near flawlessly (aside from that damn annoying alarm that won't turn off the moment you engage your first target)! The first update file had a problem in the zon file that caused catastrophic damage if hit. It has been fixed so if you downloaded the update before 11:20 Eastern time USA then please re download the update. Also available there is a full download at either location.

Shell holes are nothing more than eye candy. Also they don't always show up.
