I make it standard to go down to 200m in emergency situations,run at slow,and if pinged drop speed further until you appear to have hit the 'sweet spot',you will know this as ASDIC pulses get weaker and also the propellors above will not sound as strong/nearby,also make sure you try and keep your stern facing the pursuer,the ASDIC is less effective bow/stern on,other than when on your broadside which is a larger surface for the ASDIC to hit.Having said all that being at 200m would surely give allied listening gear a hard time anyway.

Note: make sure your UBoat can make the extreme dive before hand by doing a dive test if you have sustained damage at all,you don't want to get close to 200m and realise the UBoat can only sustain 150m,for whatever reason.
