Human errors is not the fault of a mod.. You must have messed up your save files somehow. Or deleted one of the earlier save filenames or whatever.
Basically if it was something with GWX you wount be able to load any of your saves from the very begining. |

Have you checked the date of the saves from when you select a save to load ?
Do they change to the current date i.e the date and time you are loading rather then the date / time you saved ? I've been having this problem on and off for ages and i can't seem to find an answer. I try changing the RealDate in the campaign save in My documents as i think this used to work but unfortunately it doesnt seem to work now. Sorry i can't help with your problem but i was curious to know if it was the same problem as mine. |

I had a couple careers where I would get through the first couple of patrols okay but once I got past a certain date in-game I would CTD in the game, but always when crossing one particular area in the North Sea. It was the most bizarre thing. My saves would always load, though. I looked at everything I could think of related to that particular area that might have changed at that particular time in the game, and couldn't pinpoint anything that might be the cause of the CTDs.
Finally I just went through all my mods one by one until I found a combination where the CTDs didn't happen any more, even in that spot after the date in question. Since then I've been fine. Don't know if you're using any mods other than GWX3, but at least in my case whatever the conflict was with my setup, it only became a problem after a certain date in-game had passed. So if you do have any other mods enabled it might not be a bad idea to remove them all, then re-enable them one by one, to see if one of them in particular is making it impossible for you to run the game after whatever the problem date seems to be. |

I too have/had this problem and likes others read through a lot of topics. It still seems that there's no definite solution for this problem. I'm running SH3 with GWX3 Gold, no other mods. I can't call it a solution but what seemed to help me was :
- saving always in command-room ( i usually saved in the map-screen) - saving always with different save-name You may give it a try. cheers, gam |

I have no problems with it. I think the only crashes that I've had were from GPU heating or too small memory. Now I have a big swap file on disk and before running SH3 I disable any external program, firewall etc. even explorer.exe.

The save game enigma is one thing that has yet to be solved/fixed.
For my own part I always ensure I leave the default 'Player' name in the folder. |
