Yeah, you need to get pucks to the net to score, four is not going to cut it .

The sad thing is, this will get zero press here because of the region and basketball play-offs.

Is there a good news link for all of this?

Yeah that was a rough one last year

Russia will be tough again this WHC, especially if Washington gets put out of the NHL Playoffs. Ovechkin and Semin will most likely join the team then.

What is interesting is that these championships will be a springboard to next years Olympic Games in Vancouver. I know
Team Canada in many ways is treating this years WHC as sort of a try out for 2010.

Not this one, check it out, from past NHL season.

I was going to post this earlier. Semin is slick with the puck, he scored a nice goal against the Rangers tonight, but when he takes his gloves off the above happens.

Haha, what a great game (Finland-Norway)! Jarkko Ruutu got in to trouble by trying to knock a Norwegian guy out with his helmet. Farking love that guy. Abit before that Norwegian really really really wanted to have some Finn's stick, so they ended up slamming each other in the face in the corner.

(I must say, that referee is farking blind. )

EDIT: And over it is, 5-0 for us. IN YOUR FACES!

Very exciting game between Germany and Switzerland with a physical 2nd period and a few questionable referee decisions...
At least Germany earned a point now and maybe gets the second in overtime or in the shootout.

Edit: nope, they don't. Nevertheless it was a good game by Team Germany (and Switzerland as well).

Yeah you gotta love the refereeing at International Tournaments

What was the final score?

EDIT: 3-2, just had a look.

Switzerland 3 - Germany 2; the final goal was shot in a Switzerland Powerplay during overtime.

Tough loss in OT.

See your next one is against France. Should be a good opportunity
for a win
