Thoughts? I ask this because my current card - a X1650 Pro - is about at the end of its rope. It runs stuff - but not great. I will replace it soon - but could hold off another year if its going to be worth it. Anyone got any heads up on DX11 support in forthcoming cards?
Before spending big bucks on a DX11 card, make sure there are at least DX11 games available. My opinion is that we won't see DX11 games at least for another year, year and a half. So just buy a medium DX10 card (ati 4850, nvidia 9800gtx, or even gtx260) which will run all games, and even some future DX10 games quite well.
Those cards are huge, huge improvements over the x1650pro.
Frankly if you're not using linux I'd get an ATI 4850 (best bang for the buck) and AA has always been superior on ATI cards as well.
So you'll get really nice looking games.

Instead of that GTX260, I'd strongly recommend GTX275. Or at least 260 core 216.
