Well at least we have a Swede here to explain to these Chicken-Little types that the welfare state(which the US is not), actually does work, and works pretty damn well. Does it not?

BTW, about bowing to the Saudi king. I am sure if one looks, you will find a photo of W. Bush doing the same thing. Hell, he was photographed holding some Saudi royal's hand while walking.

Gee, I wonder what the US president does when he visits Japan. Probably BOWS. There is also a photo of Putin doing the traditional bow for the president of India(I believe there is a photo of Bush doing the same somewhere).

It's called respecting the traditions of other countries. It doesn't mean he surrendered US sovereignty to the Saudis, though some times it seemed like Bush did.

Just look at this! Your former president is shaking hands with Vladimir Putin! SHAKING HANDS! What a disgrace! This must mean that he is a russian orthodox christian! And as such, how could anyone trust him to the post. I mean, religion IS the most important factor when it comes to politics!

(you think the above is silly, over the top? Well, I've heard worse...)

HOLY CRAP!!! Putin's arm is extended even further, indicating that he initiated the handshake and thus established dominance!

I guess I don't need to worry about keeping my Russian visa now that the US has been annexed.

And they are both wearing RED ties.

In fact Bush's tie is a bit MORE red than Putin's tie.

Hmmmm

Too much freedom of expression and choice is not good for you, comrade. Imagine people would start ticking like the citizens of there. Plenty of bureaucrats, civil servants and dictators jobless overnight!

Ahem! Mouse.

Oh, and the thread will not be closed unless some awful language is used. Subsim, unlike every other information outlet in the world except FOX, does not have a liberal bias. Quite the opposite...
