I have a better one: remember that all (well, most ) of us here have a real life, and so we rely on time compression to get our sub from point A to point B, so it is important the nav map is working like it should.

@CapnScurvy: I've removed the Maps.cfg file for the next RFB release. Map works like a charm now. Thanks for the tip!

The default map configuration file does not have the additional zoom levels. I think they were added with the range/bearing overlay mod (the zipped folder came with a new map.cfg file). Anyone using the mod (with or without RFB) might have the same problem ... if they also install the config file.
