right now, english.

This will have to be straightened out behind the scenes as i think it depends on how many German Writers we can get.

In the end this is going to amount to 500 - 700 letters from various sources.

if we only have 2 or 3 german writers then they will have A LOT of work to do when compared to 15 or 20 english writers.

This is a great and unique idea GR..

Maybe something else of interest for you that I'm using for my project is newspaper clippings along with letters from home

Thanks!

My friend made it for me using a photograph from Siara's model thread.

It's going to be a logo for our "company" for our current project.

Translated by babelfish this little sentence reads: "Benutzen Sie babelfish, um zu übersetzen, kann, nicht vollkommenes 100% sein aber würde ein großer Anfang! sein!" Quite rugged and involutarily funny.

Just to give you an idea: Now using the correct german translation and translating it with babelfish back to english, the result is:
"Use babelfish, in order to translate; if 100% may not be perfect, would however be a good beginning!"
From a immersion POV, the babelfish method might be OK for non-german writers (french girlfriends) writing a letter in German. Or little kids writing their Daddy at Sea.

Cheers,

I would be more than happy to help, what about censorship though? as you know a lot of letters were censored, do you want them to appear censored or just as is? When do you want them and how long do you want them? Do we just write a random selection, or from say parent to son, son to parent?

Ill look forward to this, sounds like a lot of fun.

I would recommend using English as the seed language - ie get all contributions written in English and finalise your storyboards in English first.

Then, as each storyboard is finalised, ask for the assistance of a number of French and German translators (this saves time and spreads effort).

Thus, you'll end up with three sets of identical scenarios, which makes maintenance much easier.
