I dont think you can fault the government for that failure... After all who the heck in their right mind would want to visit a brothel owned and operated by the government.

Whatever one may think of Subman's anecdote, there is a real concern here. The state has failed at many other business ventures, catastrophically so. Our own Central Bank is a prime example. If it didn't have the power to fiat currency into exsistence, it would have died a thousand times by now, not to mention its' role in the current crisis-in-the-making.

Now that the Federal Government has its' claws in the financial and auto industries, as well as others, the real hurt is going to begin.
