rumours of FileFront made me think some of you may now consider SHMF as mod host...

Once again, I have seen complaints about FF being off air or annoying complicated.
SHMF has been off air for a weeks time, being on an extended weekend at the family made it difficult to manage, and now back again I have upgraded the forum to the newest version. So those of you who may have registered previously, please log back in and report any errors you may see, and I'll see if something can be done.
If you look to post one of this thread, it will contain info as to which supermods and smaller mods are available.

You too can get your mods secured there.

I have started the SHMF screenshot contests today:
SH3 and SH4 images will compete against eachother in an edited and unedited version.
Because it's summer time, and first time, this time it is expanded so that you have untill 31/8-2009 to submit any entries.

And oh yeah, btw, I still have plenty of room for mods there: sh3, sh4 and for sh5, when that is released, since the hotel is enlarged to be unlimited size and unlimited traffic.

Still, there are WAY too few modders who have taken advantage of it.

Try google "silent hunter mods" and see what comes up...

Since I've been in another thread touting a Silent Hunter Mods hosting site competing with Subsim and panned it with great prejudice, let me put my two cents in here too.

SilentHunterMods.com is not just a "mee too" site offering mods in competition with Subsim. The important thing about SilentHunterMods is the tag line "multi-language host." Carotio is multi-lingual and so is his website, opening up Silent Hunter for those in the European community who cannot speak English to be able to discuss the game in their native languages. In this way, Carotio offers something that nobody else has, and that helps the modding community.

Subsim even gets help there, because if a person does not speak English well enough that his question can be understood, we can refer him to Carotio's website. He's adding meaningful additional ability to the Silent Hunter Community here, in contrast to BtS, the other one in the other thread and others, who only compete with Subsim's excellent mod download section and offer no benefit but to the vanity for their owners.
