I understand. But the thing is, any and all computer brands have their issues. HP, Dell, Apple, Sony, Toshiba, Gateway, Lenova, etc. There are always some customers who experience problems and sucky support, and they will be rightfully upset and let the world know. That doesn't mean the brand fails, and with Dell rhyming with Hell, lol, means a lot of people will key into that right away.

Oh oh!! The doorbell just rang, gotta go!

On the bright side Subman now has something new to focus his anger on.

This is, at least partially, why I learned to build my own computers. I don't have to worry about these things; I can get drivers from the source company and they'll work if they're good.

Instead, I have other things to worry about, like which component is keeping my new computer from booting up. Or do I really want to wait 3 weeks while my burned out video card goes back to the manufacturer (at my expense) and they send me a rebuilt one.

I hear ya. But only Dell takes it to these extremes. That is why Dell Hell was coined.

Good point Subman but I found the onboard graphics driver you are directed to visit Dell for a driver. I think after market additions of video cards you do not need to go to Dell. Correct?

You are correct. But try upgrading that on a laptop!

I can't say I hate dell. I'm am pissed off about the screwup they did to me. Aside from that all my dell products always work great. My current XPS 730 is awesome gaming machine. Ok true its no alienware stuff but still damb good.

Anyhow they ask for my feedback on a survey to the customer support help and I answered very honestly hehehehe.

I don't think they will like it.

Alienware is nothing to write home about. Same stuff, same innards at an inflated price.

Ya usual brand name nonsense + a bunch of flash and glitter is pretty much all Alienware is.

Ailenware is not even ailenware. Its just a name that has carried on from the good old days.

I actually bought an Ailenware machine when they were run by a few guys in a workshop and was really ailenware. The video card fried within a month, they dident have a direct replacement so they sent me the next model upgrade no charge, then that one fried. They sent me ANOTHER upgraded card.

It was a fine machine and a hell of a performer in its day. Alas now it sits in a closet.

But if you want a 'real' computer get in touch with these guys...

I've herd that Alienware has change lately. Not the same crew that used to make uber cool systems. Oh well...

Shame they're no different than any other name brand today. I used to like them...

Subman, one favor to ask. Drink a beer and turn on the webcam when you call customer service. I love a good show! This will be quality entertainment (for me ).
Hell, I think we should make a reality TV show based on subman dealing with dell customer service.
